Thanksgiving in the Murphy household is always something to be amazed by. It is honestly amazing that we can make something out of nothing (i.e. talks about Sarah Palin that leads to an argument about how “no one in this family respects anyone else’s opinions!!”). I guess it’s something to be proud of. One of us should be a lawyer… or a poet, we could get some SERIOUS legit anger out of holiday gatherings. I don’t know how we got into an argument about self-abuse at a table of 10 with two kids under the age of 8 in our presence… HA. I being the crazy liberal I am was like “why can’t people just smoke or drink or do whatever they want without other people lecturing them? You cannot protect people from themselves.” And then my ex-smoker cousin was like “I will never stop lecturing people about how bad smoking cigarettes is for you” and then I got all angry about how drinking alcohol is bad for you as well but you do it because it’s more socially acceptable in America. WTF. I need to stop watching so many old foreign films where smoking is as common as breathing….

But anyway, Thanksgiving was eventful. I am thankful that I have a rambunctious, ridiculous but hilarious family.

Abby is sending me pictures of the Oasis pictures in the new Mojo mag. They are actually somewhat relevant to my previous argument.
